Why are Harry and Meghan forming an ‘alliance’ with two Royal outcasts and why are William and Kate so concerned?

The rift between Prince William and Prince Harry, exacerbated by Harry and Meghan Markle’s departure from royal duties and their subsequent criticisms of the Royal Family, appears to be widening further. The latest source of tension involves Harry and Meghan’s burgeoning friendship with Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie, daughters of the disgraced Prince Andrew.

Royal expert Tom Quinn has revealed that Prince William and Kate Middleton are increasingly concerned about the close relationship developing between Harry, Meghan, Beatrice, and Eugenie. According to Quinn, this budding alliance is seen as a potential threat to the Prince and Princess of Wales. The worry stems from the fact that Beatrice and Eugenie, due to their father’s scandals, have been marginalized within the royal family, much like Harry and Meghan.

“For William and Kate an alliance between Harry and Meghan and Beatrice and Eugenie is a huge worry,” Quinn told The Daily Mirror.

Beatrice and Eugenie, who have largely been kept out of the royal spotlight due to Prince Andrew’s controversies, reportedly share a sense of camaraderie with Harry and Meghan. This mutual understanding as “virtual outcasts” provides common ground for the four. William and Kate are particularly wary of this connection, fearing it could form a counterbalance to their influence within the royal family.

“They sense that Beatrice and Eugenie feel that, as virtual outcasts themselves, they have far more in common with Harry and Meghan than with any other part of the family,” Quinn explained.

The situation is further complicated by Kate Middleton’s ongoing treatment for cancer, which has left her less active in royal duties. As Kate is often considered a key asset for the royal family’s public image and cohesion, her temporary absence exacerbates William’s concerns about Harry and Meghan’s influence on Beatrice and Eugenie.

Despite the controversies surrounding Prince Andrew, Beatrice and Eugenie have maintained a supportive relationship with Harry and Meghan. This relationship was especially significant during Meghan’s tumultuous time in the UK, where she faced considerable scrutiny and criticism. Quinn pointed out that while Harry and Meghan have little sympathy for Prince Andrew, they value their connection with his daughters, who have been allies amidst the royal drama.

“Although Harry and Meghan have little sympathy for Prince Andrew, they’ve kept in regular contact with Beatrice and Eugenie who have always been free of any associations with Meghan’s angry, bitter time in the UK,” Quinn said.

The growing alliance between Harry, Meghan, Beatrice, and Eugenie highlights the deepening divide within the royal family. With Harry skipping significant family events and continuing to publicly criticize his brother, the chances of reconciliation seem increasingly slim. This new dynamic only adds to the complexities and ongoing tensions within the House of Windsor.
