Who is Tana Ramsay?

Tana Ramsay, originally Tana Hutcheson, was born on August 23, 1974, in Croydon. Her upbringing involved assisting her father in the family business on a farm before transitioning to a career in teaching. She earned recognition from The Guardian as “Britain’s other domestic goddess.”

Her connection with Gordon Ramsay sparked when she was 18, working part-time at a restaurant while pursuing her education. Ramsay, acquainted with the head chef, began a relationship with Tana that culminated in their marriage in 1996, when she was 22. The couple commemorated their union with a trip to Hawaii.

Their journey together led to the expansion of their family. They have an array of children with significant age gaps. Megan Ramsay was their first child, born in 1998, followed by fraternal twins Holly and Jack in the subsequent year. Their daughter Matilda arrived in 2001, and their son Oscar joined the family in 2019. Most recently, the couple introduced their newborn on November 8, 2023, coincidentally on Gordon Ramsay’s birthday, sparking playful comments from fans about the baby’s facial expressions.

Following the birth of Megan, Tana Ramsay transitioned away from teaching and immersed herself in various ventures. Now at 49, she has authored four cookbooks, appeared in the CBBC series “Matilda and the Ramsay Bunch,” and is actively involved with the Gordon and Tana Ramsay Foundation, dedicated to supporting children’s health charities. Her multifaceted career showcases her dedication to cooking, family, and philanthropy.
