Lydia Velez Gonzalez, featured in Season 5 of Netflix’s “Love is Blind,” is a Houston-based geologist originally from Puerto Rico. She holds an undergraduate degree in geology from the University of Puerto Rico-Mayaguez and a Master’s degree in environmental management from the University of Maryland Global Campus.
During the show, Lydia made history by recognizing her ex-partner’s voice in the pods, a unique occurrence for the reality series. She and fellow cast member Uche Okoroha had dated in the past, an awkward revelation later in the season.
