The two biggest economies of the world used to be each other biggest traders until recently when Beijing now trades with Southeast Asia, whereas Washington has increased trade deals with neighbouring countries Canada and Mexico.

Recently in China, Raimondo has said that the appetite among US businesses to make the relationship work was strong and wants to make the relationship work. While some actions of the Chinese government were positive, the ground reality needed to match the rhetoric.
