In 2022, she organized a birthday fundraiser for the Prostate Cancer Foundation, raising nearly $4,700 and encouraging friends and family to contribute to the foundation instead of giving her presents. Carno expressed her dedication to raising awareness about early detection and treatment options for prostate cancer in honor of Tyler’s memory.
Following Tyler’s death in 2021, the Prostate Cancer Foundation acknowledged Carno’s support and expressed gratitude for Tyler’s advocacy efforts in raising awareness about the disease. Carno, described as the love of Tyler’s life, stood by his side through his battle with cancer.
In October 2023, Jennifer Carno mourned the death of Matthew Perry, another “Friends” star, who passed away just four days after the second death anniversary of James Michael Tyler. Carno, shocked and devastated by Perry’s death, shared a message assuring him that Tyler would take care of him on the other side, as Tyler had discussed his spiritual beliefs before his passing. She offered prayers and condolences to Perry’s family and friends and encouraged fans to continue making tributes in memory of the late actor.
