Women’s rights groups and officials in Israel, who have been working tireless over the past month documenting the cases of rape and gender based atrocities carried out by Hamas during their attack on October 7, have claimed that the United Nations is ignoring them.

They have also shared much of the evidence, including some of the horrifying graphic and all of it extremely intimate, with the United Nations and groups that protect and empower women.

Sarah Weiss Maudi, a senior diplomat and legal advisor in Israeli Ministry of Foreign Affairs said that they have shared letters and graphic documentation with the UN. “Their silence is so deafening that it’s sickening,” she added, as reported by Fox News Digital.

Meanwhile, a report in Washington Post claimed that Hamas and Israel have reached a deal regarding the hostages held by Hamas militants in Gaza. It was corrected by both the White House and Israeli Prime Minister that no agreement was reached between the two parties.

Hamas had abducted around 250 of Israeli hostages post their attack. Bodies of couple of hostages were found by Israeli Defense Forces a few days back.
