Despite ending their high-profile relationship years ago, Tyga and Blac Chyna continue to face challenges in co-parenting their son, King Cairo.
Tyga and Blac Chyna’s relationship began in 2011, leading to an engagement in 2012 and a split in 2014. While they didn’t marry, they welcomed their son in the same year Tyga proposed. Tyga, known for hits like “Rack City,” takes pride in being a father, emphasizing the significance of having a child. Blac Chyna, too, is dedicated to her children, asserting that she raises them independently, without financial support from Tyga.
In March 2022, Blac Chyna publicly disclosed the financial strain she was under, stating that she had to sell some of her vehicles to make ends meet. She mentioned being a single mother with no child support, alluding to Tyga. Tyga responded, explaining that he provides substantial financial support, covering King Cairo’s schooling expenses and spending time with him during the week.
Blac Chyna subsequently initiated a legal process in July 2023 to establish joint custody and determine the parental relationship with Tyga. While the specifics of her demands are not entirely clear, the documents stress the best interests of the child. Tyga expressed on social media that they should maintain their existing arrangement, emphasizing simplicity.
Despite their legal battles, Blac Chyna maintains that she and Tyga are on good terms. She prioritizes the well-being and happiness of their children, including their daughter Dream, in their co-parenting dynamic. Their story exemplifies the complexities and evolution of co-parenting after the end of a romantic relationship.
