Three Palestinian students shot in Vermont

Three Palestinian students were shot in Burlington, Vermont, on Saturday evening, according to the police.

The 20-year-old men are all receiving medical care, as per the Sunday police news release. It also mentioned while the two were stable, one has sustained much serious injuries.

The release details that the students were walking on Prospect street after visiting a relative in Burlington on Thanksgiving holiday when they were confronted by a white man with a handgun.

The police said that without speaking, the accused “discharged at least four rounds from the pistol and is believed to have fled on foot.”

The police authorities have also revealed that two of victims are U.S. citizens while one is a legal resident.

The students, as per the police department, were wearing traditional Palestinian scarves – keffiyehs. While two were shot in torso and one in the “lower extremities.”

The authorities have stated that as of now, there is no further information available which can suggest the suspect’s motive.

The FBI Sunday said that it was ready to investigate the incident.
