He was eventually released on a $100,000 bond, but the legal proceedings continue.
Mahomes’ preliminary hearing for the alleged assault is scheduled for October 24, just days after his public appearance with Swift. Some fans speculate that Mahomes might be leveraging Swift’s positive reputation and media coverage to his advantage.
