Nic Kerdiles, the former fiancé of reality TV personality Savannah Chrisley, has sadly passed away at 29, as reported by TMZ. He succumbed to severe injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident on September 23. According to law enforcement, Kerdiles failed to stop at a sign and collided with the driver’s side of another vehicle. Fortunately, no injuries were reported for the occupants of the other vehicle.
Kerdiles held a deep appreciation for his time spent with his family. In one of his last Instagram posts, he shared a collection of family pictures accompanied by a heartfelt message. He reminisced about a recent visit home where he cherished quality moments with his loved ones. He expressed, “Time in this life passes by swiftly. I will never again take these moments with them for granted, and I offer the same advice to others. Love is boundless and a rare treasure in this world. I’m profoundly grateful for the unwavering love I receive from my parents, siblings, nieces, and nephews.”
Notably, Kerdiles gained public recognition for his brief engagement to Chrisley, and he even made appearances on her family’s show, “Chrisley Knows Best.” He also had a stint playing ice hockey for the Anaheim Ducks in California.
In the wake of his passing, tributes have poured in for Nic Kerdiles. The Anaheim Ducks issued a statement on the X platform, formerly known as Twitter, expressing their sorrow. Their account tweeted, “We’re devastated to learn about the passing of Nic Kerdiles, who lost his life in a motorcycle accident this morning. A native of Irvine, Nic made history as the first player from Orange County to join the Ducks in 2017. Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with his family and loved ones.” After his time with the Ducks, Kerdiles was drafted by the Winnipeg Jets in 2018, according to People. However, he hung up his hockey gear that same year, as reported by TMZ. Kerdiles transitioned into the real estate industry, working as a broker before his untimely passing.
Certainly, Kerdiles garnered significant attention for his relationship with Savannah Chrisley. They commenced their relationship in 2017 and became engaged a couple of years later, as noted by the New York Post. Nevertheless, in 2020, the couple decided to part ways amicably. In an Instagram post that has since been removed, Chrisley explained their decision, expressing that they separated on good terms. She stated, “Nic and I have chosen to go our separate ways. There’s no animosity between us… and honestly… that makes saying goodbye even harder. We have nothing but love, respect, and admiration for one another, but it’s time for us to forge ahead individually.”
