Reese Witherspoon’s son faces nepo-kid backlash for showing off his swanky NYC apartment

Reese Witherspoon’s son Deacon Phillippe allowed TikTok star, Caleb Simpson, to have a tour of his lavish home, and also let him film the the footage for his 7.8 million followers on the social media platform. Post taking a walk with the social media influencer in his swanky college apartment in New York City Thursday, the star kid is facing criticism for being a nepo baby.

“Rick kids / nepo babies LOVE to avoid mentioning their extremely wealthy parents,” commented one user. Another wrote, “Let’s not forget that his mom and dad are wealthy celebrities,” referring to his actress mother and his actor father, Ryan Phillippe.

Deacon, who is seen holding an expensive Perrier water bottle during the tour, coyly admitted of paying “West Village prices” for the apartment when prompted by Simpson. It was pretty evident from the video that the place comes at huge rent with its spacious rooms, high ceilings, and unique spiral staircase.

While many users were bashing the star kid, there were some who supported him and did not see anything wrong with it. One of comment read, “Nice place! That’s his privilege for all the haters. It’s ok to be happy and lift someone up rather then always find something wrong.”
