President Biden to visit Israel in a high-stakes trip

President Joe Biden will be traveling to Israel and Jordan as the situation in the Middle East grows ever more urgent. The White House is confronting and believes that an urgent visit of the President is of the most priority.

Originally, Biden was planned to spend Monday in Colorado, talking about wind energy, however, the trip was cancelled last minute. Instead, the president received insights from his national security team and made phone calls to the leaders of Egypt, Germany, and Iraq in the wake of Israel – Hamas war.

U.S. Secretary Antony Blinken, who is currently lodged in Tel Aviv, announced that the president will be reaching Israel during the early hours on Tuesday. The announcement was followed by an extensive days of meetings in Israel by the top U.S. diplomat that included a seven-and-half hour meeting with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his war cabinet.
