Chinese smartphone manufacturer OnePlus is gearing up to unveil its anticipated OnePlus 12, touted as the successor to the OnePlus 11. Recent reports suggest that the OnePlus 12 might stand out as the first smartphone to showcase Qualcomm’s unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 System on Chip (SoC), as per information from a reliable tipster. This device is also expected to flaunt remarkable specifications, including an impressive RAM capacity, a powerful camera system, and enhanced charging capabilities.
The OnePlus 12 is purportedly set to house the unannounced Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, alongside a notable RAM capacity of 16GB or 24GB. To manage heat dissipation effectively, the device will incorporate a large vapor chamber (VC). The anticipated launch timeline for the OnePlus 12 is the end of this year, with suggestions that it could pioneer the deployment of Qualcomm’s flagship chipset.
Reports indicate that the OnePlus 12 will sport a curved display with a 2K resolution and support for high-frequency pulse-width modulation (PWM) dimming. The display is also rumored to house an ultra-thin optical fingerprint scanner for biometric authentication.
