New York Knicks dominate Charlotte Hornets, boost wild card spot on playoffs aspirations


The New York Knicks secured a crucial 115-91 victory over Charlotte Hornets on Tuesday night, which has increased their chances of earning a spot in the knockout round of NBA in-season tournament.

The Knick are well positioned for a wild card berth, with the help of their 3-1 record in East Group B play and a point differential of plus-42.

Julius Randle played a key role in the victory, posting an impressive double-double with 25 pints and 20 rebounds.


While the reserve player Josh Hart contributed 17 points, Immanuel Quickley added 23 points to the teams. Other significant contributions were made by RJ Barrett and Jalen Brunson as the added 16 and 12, respectively.

The Knicks came as the defeated the Milwaukee Bucks, who finished 4-0 in group play, in the race for the East Group B crown. Despite falling short in the group standings, the Knicks has high chances of winning the wild card spot, which is awarded to a non-group winner with the best record or, in the event of tie, the best point of differential.
