Jim Jordan voted out from Speaker race by Republicans


Republicans united against Representative Jim Jordan to oust him of Speaker of the House nominee, after he lost three successive floor ballots.

As per the reports by BBC, the Ohio Republican was ousted by an internal party vote. The news agency was informed by two representatives.

Earlier, during a press conference, Jordan had expressed that he will repeatedly keep on trying for the speakership position. He is a far right candidate and was endorsed by former president Donald Trump.


Prior to Jordan, the GOP had nominate House Majority Leader Steve Scalise for the position of speaker, however, he had failed to secure the required threshold of votes.
