Holland America Line is introducing an extraordinary 28-day Arctic Circle voyage, taking travelers on an immersive journey inspired by Norse explorer Erik Thorvaldsson, commonly known as Erik the Red. The voyage, set to embark on June 29, 2025, will sail roundtrip from Rotterdam, Netherlands, and explore five countries, with a primary focus on Iceland and Greenland. The voyage will traverse the Arctic Circle multiple times, stopping at 15 ports across Norway, Iceland, Greenland, Scotland, and England.

Operating aboard the Nieuw Statendam ship, this expedition offers passengers an opportunity to delve deeper into the history and beauty of the region. With maiden calls in Greenland’s ports such as Nuuk, Ittoqqortoormiit, Sisimiut, and Ilulissat, as well as an overnight stay in Reykjavik, the voyage promises an enriching experience.

Bookings for the trip, starting at $4,717 per person, open on August 24. Travelers can also opt for the “Have it All” fares, priced from $6,399, which include added perks like shore excursions, specialty dining, a beverage package, Wi-Fi, and prepaid gratuities.

Beyond this unique Arctic expedition, Holland America Line has plans for a remarkable 133-day pole-to-pole Grand Voyage in 2025, covering Antarctica to the Arctic Circle off Norway’s coast. This announcement follows the company’s 150th-anniversary celebrations, marked by heritage cruises and a symbolic transatlantic voyage that retraced its inaugural Atlantic crossing.
