Hamas releases two American hostages kidnapped during attack on Israel

Judith Raanan and her daughter Natalie have been released from Gaza, as confirmed by Israeli officials.

The mother – daughter duo were visiting their relatives at the Nahal Oz kibbutz in southern Israel on October 7, when the Hamas attacked the region and kidnapped the two.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu issued a statement which confirmed the release of two hostages. The two American hostages were “released from the hands of the terrorist organisation Hamas.”

The statement added that Brigadier General Gal Hirsh and other security forces “received them at the border of the Gaza Strip and at this moment they are on their way to a meeting point at a military base in the centre of the country,” where they will be reunited with their family.

There are still around 200 hostages being held by Hamas in Gaza.
