Explosion on bridge connecting U.S. and Canada


An explosion occurred on the U.S. side of the Rainbow Bridge which connects the country with Canada at Niagara Falls, New York. It was reported by multiple law enforcement sources and the bridge has been closed for now.

The Niagara Falls mayor’s office has said that the incident involved a vehicle passing into United States.

New York Governor Kathy Hochul said she will be closely working on the situation.


The FBI has arrived at the scene.

Law enforcement is placing K-9 officers on each of the international bridges in the area as a precautionary measure, according to source.
