The US team for 44th Ryder Cup at Marco Simone Golf Club saw one of its worst performance as the European team beat them in the most mercilessly way.

The Europeans created history as for the first time in Ryder Cup history, they swept four foursomes (alternate shot) matches to go 4-0 in the Friday morning session. It was pretty evident that the European team will win the game as they are trying to reclaim the trophy after failing 19-9 at Whistling Straits in Wisconsin in 2021. During the morning matches, the US team did not get the lead in not even one match.

This is the fourth time for the European team to go unbeaten in a session overall. It’s the first time since 2006 that the European team had a lead after the first session. It won the Ryder Club 18 1/2 – 9 1/2 at the K Club in Straffan, Ireland.

Ireland’s Shane Lawry stated, “We are off to a great start this morning.” He had a that there is still a lot of golf to be played and until they are going as per their plan, which was to get a fast start.

The Americans are hoping to end its drought of 30 years in Ryder Cups. It has plenty of work to do with 24 matches, which are being played outside U.S. They need 14 points to retain the trophy, while the Europeans require 14 and 1/2 to win it back.
