Emily in Paris Season 4 Release date: When to expect the new season?

Emily and Paris have checked off all the boxes and cemented itself as one of the greatest Netflix shows ever, making it the perfect guilty pleasure for binge-watching. Through the eyes of Emily Cooper, a young American woman who finds herself traversing the sparkling streets of Paris while working as a marketing executive at the top firm in Paris, we fell in love with Paris thanks to the ethereal romance, the glittery clothing, and the fresh croissants. We are eagerly awaiting Emily’s fourth season after three seasons and several dramatic heartbreaks and reconciliations!

However, there haven’t been many reliable details about its return to Netflix since its double-season renewal was announced in January 2022. Then, when the current strikes are thrown into the mix, things start to wear thin and come to a point of doubt. In December 2022, Emily in Paris Season 3 appeared on our screens. By mid-2023, we anticipated that work on Emily in Paris Season 4 would start, with the goal of having the show premiere in December as usual. However, as you must be aware, a WGA strike that lasted until May caused the writers to halt penning screenplays for a number of series.

When their contract with AMTP ended at midnight on July 12, 2023, the SAG AFTRA and WGA artists’ unions joined forces with one another to strike twice. A devastating domino effect likely resulted from this, causing writers to cease working on the show, performers to back out of filming, and eventually, production to halt on many promised autumn shows. As this joint strike enters its fourth month, there don’t seem to be many signs that it will end in an agreement or other kind of resolution.

Emily in Paris Season 4 Release Date: When Is It Expected To Reach Us?

As previously announced, the show was renewed for Seasons 3 and 4 at the same time in January 2022. So it is accurate. Emily won’t be leaving as she tries to manage her personal and professional lives while also attempting to fit into the ethereal City of Love. We now have some updates on the release date as of the time this article was written.

Filming for Emily in Paris Season 4 has not yet begun as the strike is currently in its third month. Forget about the time required for production and post-production, which, when finished, takes around a year. Additionally, we are aware that the rumours regarding the simultaneous filming of Seasons 3 and 4 in the summer of 2023 were untrue. It was difficult for Ashley Park and Lily Collins to be in two locations at once because they attended the Met Gala 2023 in the summer. Here is a photo to demonstrate it.

In light of this, we anticipated a December release so that we might enjoy hot chocolate while watching Emily conquer Paris once more. However, the likelihood of such happening is 0.0001% because the strike typically lasts until August. In light of the length of time it takes to film, produce, and edit a high-production series like Emily in Paris, it is reasonable to conclude that we may anticipate seeing Season 4 of Emily in Paris by the middle of 2024. Additionally, for this projection to be accurate, the strike-related problems must be remedied by the end of October at the latest.

Showrunner Darren Starr also reportedly skipped the FYC event in Paris, according to The Wrap. He is a member of the WGA, and that is all we know about why. Additionally, Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu made a statement addressing the strike-related delay.

The 10 episodes will all be released at once on Netflix, allowing you to binge watch to your heart’s content, and will follow the same release schedule as the previous 3 seasons, which is 2:00 AM (PT) or 3:00 AM (ET). We advise you to hope for the best and, if you are missing Emily in Paris too much, maybe watch the previous three seasons while additional updates are being made.
