Elon Musk wishes X to be centre of your life and handles everything in your life that involves money. He expects those features to be launched on the platform by the end of 2024, he told the employees during an all-hands call on Thursday. He believes that people will be surprised with “just how powerful it is.”
As per the audio note obtained by The Verge, Musk states, “When I say payments, I actually mean someone’s entire financial life.” He added that anything that involves money will be done on X, formerly known as Twitter. He also included securities along with money. The owner also explained that it won’t just be limited to sending money to friends, the functions will be as good as a bank.
X CEO Linda Yaccarino said the company is looking for forward to see this become a full opportunity in 2024. “It will blow my mind if we don’t have that rolled out by the end of next year,” states Musk.
Currently, the company is on working on securing money transmission licenses across U.S. so that they can offer financial services to its employees.
