Billionaire Elon Musk offered Wikipedia, the online free encyclopedia, $1 billion under the condition that it changes its name to ‘Dickipedia’.
The owner of X, formerly known as Twitter, wrote his offer in a post on his site. He had previously posted a screenshot of a personal appeal from the co-founder of Wikipedia, Jimmy Wales, stating that the website is not for sale.
“I will give them a billion dollars if they change their name to Dickipedia,” Musk wrote. He continued in another post, “Please add that to the [cow and poop emojis] on my wiki page.”

When journalist Ed Krassenstein, an user on X, suggested Wikipedia to take the deal as they can always change it back after collecting the sum from Musk.
The Tesla founder added a condition to his offer. “One year minimum, I mean, I’m not a fool lol,” he wrote.

Earlier on Sunday, Musk had made multiple post criticizing Wikimedia Foundation, the non-profit that hosts Wikipedia, for asking for money
