Donald Trump’s elder sister Maryanne Trump Barry passes away at 86

Donald Trump’s older sister, Maryanne Trump Barry, is dead at the age of 86, outlets including The New York Times reported.

Barry, who was a senior judge on the U.S. Court of Appeals until 2019, was found in her Fifth Avenue apartment at about 4 am on Monday, as reported by ABC News. The report cited that there were no signs of trauma or foul play.

She was first appointed by President Ronald Reagan to the U.S. District Court for the District of New Jersey in 1983. In 1999, President Bill Clinton appointed her to the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit.

Years later, Clinton’s wife Hillary Clinton went on to face her brother and former president in 2016 U.S. Presidential election.

Barry retired from the bench amid investigation into she and her father, Fred Trump, and siblings had engaged in alleged fraudulent financial transactions. The investigation was ultimately closed.

The former president’s youngest brother Robert Trump passed away in 2020 at the age of 71. His other brother died of heart attack in 1981 at the age of 42. He also has another elder sister, Elizabeth Trump Grau, 81.
