Demon Slayer Season 4 Release Date Speculation
On June 18, 2023, Demon Slayer season 4 was formally announced, and we anticipate Tanjiro to return in the middle of 2024.
The fourth season of Demon Slayer will adapt the Hashira Training Arc, which is rather brief in comparison to other episodes. So perhaps the second chapter will appear somewhere in April 2024 and follow the same trend as the previous season.
These dates are obviously only conjecture. Production can be put off if an anime film releases first. We’re keeping our fingers crossed that we’ll see Demon Slayer season 4 as soon as possible, though, as production on the new season is already well under way.
What is Demon Slayer season 4 about?
The fourth season of Demon Slayer will cover the Hashira Training Arc from the manga and pick up immediately after the events of the Swordsmith Village Arc.
According to the anime’s canon, the upcoming episode will cover chapters 128 to 136 of Koyoharu Gotouge’s work. Spoilers ahead, beware!
In the Hashira Training Arc of the Demon Slayer manga, Tanjiro trains with Hashira in preparation for facing the Demon King. A Hashira is a senior member of the Demon Slayer Corps, for those of you who are somewhat rusty on your Demon Slayer knowledge. They are the greatest of the best, and Tanjiro must pick up talents from each of them in order to get ready for his last match against Muzan.
During this Arc, we will see Tanjiro being pushed to his limits (and at one point, really pushing a huge boulder), as well as discovering more about each Hashira’s past. We shall learn more about Giyu’s impostor syndrome, Gyomei’s criminal history, and Obanai’s crush on Mitsuri. Muzan is eager to take Nezuko’s powers for himself, thus we will simultaneously witness him and his servant Nakime searching for her.
