David Lynch and Emily Stofle call its quits to their 14 years of marriage

David Lynch and Emily Stofle are calling it quits after 14 years of marriage.

Emily, 46, filed for divorce from Mulholand Drive director, 77, as reported by PEOPLE, citing court documents.

In the filing, the actress has asked for the sole legal and physical custody of their 11-year-old daughter, Lula Boginia. She is asking for David to have visiting rights and is also demanding spousal support and attorney’s fees.

The news were first reported by TMZ.

The former couple got married in February 2009. The pair collaborated when Emily appeared in David’s feature film, Inland Empire and the limited series Twin Peaks: The Return.

In an interview in 2018, the director has confessed to priortize his work life over personal life. “You gotta be selfish. And it’s a terrible thing… I did what I had to do. There could have been more work done. There are always so many interruptions.”

Before his marriage with Emily, David was married three times. He married to Peggy Lynch from 1967 to 1974, Mary Fish from 1977 to 1987, and Mary Sweeney from 2006 to 2007. During the late 1980s and early 1990s, the director was also linked to Rossellini.
