Dave Chappelle fans walk out as comedian criticize Israel of its war crime in Gaza

Some of the fans of Dave Chappelle’s fans did not find it funny when comedian weighed in on Israel’s ongoing war with Hamas militants in Gaza.

A number of attendees even left the venue when Chappelle criticised Israel’s role in the war during his Thursday night show at TD Garden in Boston.

As reported by Wall Street Journal, the dramatic moments began when Chappelle referred to Israel’s counter-attack against Hamas as “war crimes” and also accused the country of slaughtering innocent civilians.

Although, the 50-year-old had earlier condemned the attack by Hamas on October 7th, he criticised the Israeli government order of besieging Gaza which has cut off water, food and other essential items in the enclaved Palestine.

He also expressed that students should not be denied job offers because of their decision to support Palestine, which prompted a heckler to yell “shut up” at Chappelle.

Audience members were torn by the remarks, with some cheering “Free Palestine” while other chanted “What about Hamas?”

“The audience was cheering Chappelle on during his tirade. I was sick. We were sick,” one attendee posted on social media, as per Daily Mail. The post added that the attendee turned to his wife and friends and asked them to leave. On walking out, they met many other Jews.
