Dana Carvey’s son Dex passed away on Wednesday at the age of 32, due to accidental drug overdose.
The Wayne’s World star took to his Instagram account to break the news of the “terrible tragedy,” that happened on Wednesday night and added, “We will miss him forever.”
He later posted a picture of himself and Dex working together, saying it has been a “joy.” The two had shared the screen in several TV series.
In a joint statement with his wife Paula Zwagerman, Carvey wrote, “Dex packed a lot into those 32 years.”

They added that their son was extremely talented at multiple things such as music, art, film making, comedy – and he was quite passionate towards everything.
The couple also have another son, Thomas, 30.
The comedian said that his eldest son “loved life” and he would also make ‘you love life’ when you are with him.
Carvey is best known for his work on the U.S. sketch comedy series Saturday Night Live, which earned him an Emmy Award in 1993 for outstanding individual performance.
