This upcoming series is part of the Code Geass Next 10Years Project, signifying a forward-looking initiative for the franchise’s future, initially introduced by series producer Kojiro Taniguchi in 2019. The project kicked off with the release of the “Lelouch of the Re;surrection” film in May 2019, marking a significant step in the expansion of the Code Geass universe.

At a special event, a new key visual and the first trailer for “Code Geass: Rozé of the Recapture” were unveiled, offering fans a glimpse into the anime. This new project will consist of a four-part theatrical release, with the first part set to premiere in May 2024, aligning with the Spring anime season.

Originally announced in 2020 as “Code Geass: Z of the Recapture,” this project takes place within the established Code Geass universe created by Goro Taniguchi and Ichiro Okouki. It follows the story of two protagonists, Rozé and Ash, voiced by Kohei Amasaki and Makoto Furukawa, respectively. Notably, Z of the Recapture was initially introduced as a TV anime continuation from where “Lelouch of the Re;surrection” concluded.
