Classroom of the Elite fans can rejoice as Kiyotaka, Suzune, and Kikyō, along with their fellow elites at the Tokyo Metropolitan Advanced Nurturing High School, are set to make their return to screens to continue their first year. The anime, originally based on a light novel by Shōgo Kinugasa and illustrated by Shunsaku Tomose, has captivated audiences with its distinctive storyline. Following a five-year hiatus, the Lerche-produced anime’s second season premiered in July 2022.
The first two seasons covered up to Volume 7.5 of the original light novel, comprising 44 chapters. Now, fans eagerly await the third season to witness the continuation of the story. Season 3 is anticipated to adapt the final four volumes, spanning from Volume 8 to 11.5, concluding the characters’ first year in high school.
‘Classroom of the Elite’ season 3 release date speculations!
Given that the season 2 finale aired on Sept. 26, 2022, fans have been patiently awaiting the next installment for over a year. Questions arose about whether Classroom of the Elite would go on another hiatus and when season 3 would be released. Here’s what we know so far:
The cast of Classroom of the Elite confirmed in a private Livestream that both seasons 2 and 3 were in development, officially confirming season 3. However, there was a brief delay in its release from the original schedule for this year.
On June 22, 2023, Kadokawa announced the delay through the light novel cover of 2nd Year Volume 9.5, stating, “Classroom of the Elite season 3 will start airing in 2024.” Subsequently, Crunchyroll officially announced plans to simulcast the new season via its official website after an official reveal at New York Comic Con in October 2023. Fans can expect the anime to grace screens in January as part of the Winter 2024 anime lineup.
While an exact release date is yet to be unveiled, fans can take solace in the fact that the season is on its way soon. As usual, Crunchyroll will provide fans with access to Kiyotaka’s adventures in the new year. Although the English dub release date for Classroom of the Elite season 3 has not yet been announced, given the show’s popularity, it is likely to be available as a Simuldub on Crunchyroll.
