The Chainsmokers’ Alex Pall and Drew Taggart recently took an amusing trip down memory lane when they decided to recreate an iconic Calvin Klein photo shoot inspired by Justin and Hailey Bieber. The duo’s playful attempt at replicating the famous ad campaign has garnered humorous reactions from fans and followers.
In the recreated photos, Alex and Andrew sported nothing but Calvin Klein underwear and jeans while striking dramatic poses to show off their tattoos. Their light-hearted take on the classic Calvin Klein imagery was shared on Instagram, where they initially intended to use one of the photos as the cover art for their upcoming album, “Summertime Friends.”
However, their initial excitement over the concept quickly turned to laughter, and they jokingly expressed their disappointment with the results. The Chainsmokers posted on Instagram, saying, “Summertime friends comes out this week and this was supposed to be the cover art, but it came out ridiculous. We are so upset. Firing the creative director immediately. Never trusting our team again.”
Their Instagram post prompted funny reactions from their followers, with one fan commenting, “The picture nobody knew they needed in their life,” and another humorously adding, “Very hard to explain to my friends why my IG looks like this when I opened the app in front of them.”
While this playful recreation added a touch of humor to their online presence, Alex Pall and Drew Taggart have made headlines in the past for discussing their experiences with threesomes involving fans. They candidly shared these encounters in an interview, recalling that most of them happened during their European tours when they were sharing hotel rooms with two beds close together.
Despite the playful and humorous side, the Chainsmokers recently celebrated a significant achievement. In August, they performed at the Los Angeles State Historic Park, where they broke a record by attracting a crowd of 18,798 people – the highest number of attendees ever at that venue. The duo expressed their gratitude to fans, friends, and family for making this show a memorable one and posted about the milestone on Instagram, exclaiming, “Holy shit LA, that was 10/10.”
As the Chainsmokers continue to entertain fans both on and off the stage, their lighthearted recreation of the classic Calvin Klein pose adds another chapter to their entertaining journey in the world of music and entertainment.
