Call of Duty Announces Epic Dune Crossover Bundle

As Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2’s sixth and final season comes to a close, a new crossover bundle is on the horizon. The Dune Sardaukar operator pack is set to be released on November 1, marking what is likely to be the last collaboration for a while.

This bundle, themed around the iconic sci-fi film franchise Dune, includes a character skin and two weapon blueprints. One of the weapon blueprints, revealed in a preview, features Modern Warfare 2’s Ordnance platform with a drum magazine.

Although Dune isn’t traditionally associated with horror, like the other collaborations in Season 6, this operator pack was likely aligned with the original release date of Dune: Part Two, which was scheduled for October 20. Following the recent delay of Dune: Part Two to March 2024, it seems that Call of Duty has opted to release the bundle alongside Modern Warfare 3, rather than holding onto it for an extended period.

Upon the launch of Modern Warfare 3 on November 10, the Dune Sardaukar bundle will seamlessly transfer over from Modern Warfare 2, allowing players to enjoy the crossover content in the new game. This collaboration is anticipated to be the final one for a while, as new game crossovers typically commence in the spring of the following year.
