Britney Spears and Sam Asghari are reportedly moving towards the finalization of their divorce, and sources indicate the process has been relatively amicable, describing it as “cordial” and emphasizing that Asghari has not contested their prenuptial agreement, as reported by TMZ.
Although Spears and Asghari had minimal contact and ceased following each other on Instagram in September, sources close to the situation have stated that there’s currently “no drama” in their divorce proceedings.
Amidst speculation surrounding the divorce, there were rumors about Spears cheating on Asghari and allegations of violent behavior toward him before their split. Despite these claims, neither party publicly addressed them, and sources close to Spears denied any infidelity. Insiders familiar with the situation revealed that the decision for divorce was not abrupt, suggesting it had been contemplated for a while. Additionally, there were suggestions that Asghari had distanced himself from Spears before their official split.
Britney Spears spoke about the divorce on Instagram for the first time in August, mentioning that she was “a little shocked” by the divorce but expressed that she was “actually doing pretty damn good.” In contrast, Asghari shared a simple “s–t happens” on his Instagram regarding the separation.
In October, Sam Asghari expressed support for Britney Spears after the release of her memoir, “The Woman in Me,” stating that he was “freakin’ proud of her.” The memoir reportedly contained Spears’ positive remarks about Asghari, referring to him as a “gift from God” and a “good man.” Spears also fondly recalled being instantly drawn to Asghari when they first met on the set of her “Slumber Party” music video in October 2016.
