Billie Eilish became a target of trolls after her comment in a recent interview, wherein she stated that men do not face body-shaming like women.

In an interview with Variety, the singer stated, “If you’re muscular, cool. If you’re not, cool. If you’re rail thin, cool. If you have a dad bod, cool. If you’re pudgy, love it! Everybody’s happy with it. You know why? Because girls are nice. They don’t give a f*ck because we see people for who they are!”

In reaction to her statement, several uses on X, formerly known as Twitter, shared their disagreement with Billie, with some even labelling the singer as “tone deaf.”

“This generations [sic] obsession with not only being a victim, but making sure no one else more of a victim then them is unprecedented. How tone deaf can someone be?” one critic commented.

Another user wrote that celebrities are so much out of touch, that at times, it is hilarious.

A third critic pointed out that both men and women have “experienced body dysmorphia at some point their lives.”
