Beyonce’s childhood home caught on fire in Houston on Christmas Day

Beyonce’s childhood home in Houston was caught on fire during the early hours on Christmas Day, according to multiple news sources.

Media reports stated that the brick house on Rosedale Street caught fire early Monday. Houston Fire Department personnel arrived to see the second story engulfed in flames, reported ABC13 in Houston.

The current residents of the Riverside Terrace home escaped their own and weren’t injured in the blaze, as per the TV station reports. The fire department ensured more damages were not made as they were quick to put it out.

As per the record by Harris County property, the three-bedroom house was built in 1946 and was remodeled in 2016. It’s classified as a French traditional house.

A realtor had listed the home on market several years ago, noting it was early childhood home of Beyonce. It was sold in 2019 for between $420,001 and $482,000.

The house was bought by Knowles family in 1982 and they lived there until Beyonce was 5 years old, as informed by the realtor to Good Morning America in 2018.
