Bella Hadid finally broke her silence over the ongoing conflict between Israel and Hamas.
The supermodel, who is part Palestinian, shared a post Thursday, wherein she asked for her fans’ forgiveness for being ‘silent’ for the past couple of weeks.
“I have yet to find the ideal words for this deeply intricate and horrific past 2 weeks, weeks that have turned the world’s attention back towards a situation that has been taking innocent lives and affecting families for decades,” she wrote.
Bella added that ever since the war began, she and her families has received hundreds of death threats, which has made them feel “in danger,” however, she now refuses to be silent any longer.
“My heart is bleeding with pain… trauma of my Palestinian blood,” she continued. She expressed that she mourns with the mothers, who lost their children, and the children who cry alone. The model also mentioned all the family members – including father, brother, sister – and friends, who have lost their life.
This is how you educate your audience properly. Bella Hadid gave such a beautiful and heartwarming statement unlike other celebrities who decided to remain stupid. She didn’t disappoint Palestine ❤️🩹. pic.twitter.com/Cuoe6ZaQr3

Yet, she also “mourns for the Israeli families that have been dealing of the pain and aftermath” since the attack launched by Hamas on October 7th.
Considering the history of the disputed land, the model pressed that harming women and children or inflicting terror “does not and should not do any good for the Free Palestine movement.”
She also explained her Palestinian heritage and why she has been an advocate for the “Free Palestine” movement for so many years. Her father, Mohamed Hadid, born in Nazareth in 1948 – the same year that 750,000 Palestinians were displaced from the homes – and his family being on of those who were forced to become refugees.
